NordVPN brings Message Protection to iPhone and launches free HangUp app

NordVPN has rolled out its Call and Message Protection toolkit to iOS, adding SMS scam screening to its main app. It also launched HangUp, a free standalone iPhone app that blocks spam calls without requiring a VPN subscription.

• Message Protection checks SMS against phone reputation databases and analyzes URLs
• Flagged messages open in a safe view to prevent tapping malicious links
• HangUp is free and needs only a Nord account, no VPN subscription
• The app categorizes calls as scam, telemarketing, survey or debt collection
