ISAC moves from labs to live trials with Ericsson, AT&T and Verizon
Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) is shifting from lab tests to field trials: AT&T and Ericsson demonstrated drone detection near AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Verizon and Samsung built a crowd-density heatmap at the World Cup FanFest, and the US Department of War funded a $28 million Cohere Technologies prototype. Ericsson calls sensing a potential killer app for 6G, while Huawei is said to have over 300 ISAC-capable systems deployed.
