Hands-on: AWS and Azure Multicloud Interconnect setup takes 60 minutes, 2.5 ms latency

An engineer tested the direct AWS–Azure Multicloud Interconnect announced in late August 2026. Setup took about 60 minutes and ping between VMs was ~2.5 ms; on Azure the service is still in Preview, limited to 1 Gbps and local regions.
