Anthropic starts in-country Claude inference in India via Amazon Bedrock

Anthropic has begun processing Claude inference requests within India through Amazon Bedrock, with requests to its India endpoint handled on local servers. Claude Opus 5, Sonnet 5 and Haiku 4.5 are available. The move targets banks, government bodies and regulated enterprises with data-residency and compliance needs.
