KDE Plasma is getting its own "safe mode" for troubleshooting

KDE has begun work on a "safe mode" for Plasma that boots the desktop without third-party customizations to isolate problems. Parts of the feature are expected to land in Q4 2026, according to KDE's Digital Sovereignty update for Q3.
