KingKong Technology Open-Sources Jumper, a 22-DoF Crab Robot That Jumps Over 400 mm
Beijing-based KingKong Technology, known for robot encoders and servos, has open-sourced the software stack behind Jumper, its crab-style robot: model, simulation scenes, reinforcement learning training and deployment tooling. Jumper has 22 degrees of freedom across six legs, weighs 1.8 kg, jumps 400 mm or more, reaches at least 0.5 m/s and runs about two hours on a Rockchip RK3576 chip with a 6 TOPS NPU.
- 22 degrees of freedom on six legs, 1.8 kg weight, 400×400×200 mm size
- Jump height of 400 mm or more, speed of at least 0.5 m/s, 1 kg payload, about 2 hours of battery life
- Rockchip RK3576 processor with 6 TOPS NPU; each of the 22 joints uses a tactile servo with two encoders
- MuJoCo model, PPO training and ONNX/RKNN export are open, but CAD, BOM and PCB designs are not
