Anthropic launches effort to defend critical infrastructure and open source from AI

Anthropic unveiled its Anthropic Cyber Mission with two parts: a Critical Infrastructure Defense Program staffed with partners and on-site engineers, and OSS Scanner, a free security scanner for established open-source projects. The company says LLMs now find over 85% of vulnerabilities, up from 20% in early 2025, but warns attackers will hold the advantage for the next two years.
