IBIA urges Congress to expand biometric border screening and limit traveler profiling
The International Biometrics and Identity Association sent a letter to Congress urging completion of the biometric entry-exit system, funding for scanning portals and X-ray equipment at all land ports of entry, and enforceable limits on traveler profiling. The group also proposed cross-border cooperation with Canada and Mexico and called for updated CBP data.
