CBP face biometrics reach 1B travelers checked in 25 years

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says its facial biometrics system has processed more than 1 billion travelers. Accuracy exceeds 98%, with the technology deployed at all international-arrival airports, 66 departure airports, 42 seaports and all pedestrian border lanes. CBP has $673 million in funding to keep expanding the system.
