Raspberry Pi Desktop returns to PCs and Macs after four years
Raspberry Pi Desktop has returned with a new release for standard PCs and Intel-based Macs. The Debian-based OS moves to Debian 13 (Trixie) and 64-bit x86, adding Raspberry Pi Connect and an optional app dock. Apple Silicon Macs are not supported.
- Moves to Debian 13 (Trixie) with Linux kernel 6.12 and 64-bit amd64 architecture
- Adds Raspberry Pi Connect, an optional app dock and a graphical launcher with search
- Supports 64-bit x86 PCs and Intel-based Macs; Apple Silicon is not supported
- Offers live USB boot with persistent storage and full install via Calamares
