Google releases AI Edge Foresight, an offline Granola rival for Mac

Google launched Google AI Edge Foresight, a Mac app competing with AI note-taker Granola. It runs fully offline using the on-device EmbeddingGemma 2 model with 740 million parameters, transcribes meetings and takes notes in a split-screen view, while a Gemma 4-powered assistant answers questions from uploaded PDFs, Google Docs, Office files and Markdown.
