Spotifast: Rust-based Spotify client cuts RAM usage by 5x or more
A third-party Spotify client called Spotifast, written in Rust, uses 150–200 MB of RAM versus 600 MB–1 GB for the official app. It is available for Windows, macOS and Linux, requires Spotify Premium, and adds themes, Milkdrop visualization and a Winamp mode.
