Ubuntu 26.10 ships with a Rust-based OpenPGP
Ubuntu 26.10 includes Sequoia PGP, a Rust-based OpenPGP implementation, with the sq package in the main repo and officially supported. It ships alongside gpg-agent and dirmngr for now, but Canonical aims to make sq and sqv the default over gpg and gpgv. The release also brings a full set of Rust-based core utilities via uutils, replacing GNU cp, mv and rm.
