Microsoft rebuilds Windows for agentic AI: MXC sandbox, hybrid intelligence, new Search
Microsoft outlined its plan to prepare Windows for agentic AI: the Microsoft Execution Containers sandbox to isolate AI agents, a "hybrid intelligence" approach combining local and cloud models, new Copilot modes (Home, Code, Autopilot) and a Search that performs actions directly from the taskbar. Support for Nvidia RTX Spark and ARM gaming is also being expanded, with Call of Duty coming to RTX Spark in 2027.
