Rivian R2 gets live Pet Cam and AI assistant in update 2026.36

Rivian is rolling out software update 2026.36 with Pet Cam for the R2, streaming live cabin video to the Rivian app plus lock-screen snapshots with cabin temperature. The R2 also finally gets the Rivian Assistant voice AI, while R1 owners get remote Pet Mode controls. Live streaming requires the $14.99/month Connect+ subscription.
