Rivian is developing Teen Mode and Valet Mode for its EVs

Rivian is working on Teen Mode and Valet Mode for all its models, including the R1T, R1S, and R2. Teen Mode will let parents limit horsepower (up to 1,025 hp), off-road modes, and stability control via digital key profiles. Both features are slated for early 2027.

• Teen Mode and Valet Mode are slated for early 2027 on R1T, R1S, and R2
• Parents can limit horsepower and access to off-road modes
• Settings are password-protected; key fob and keycard can't bypass them
• Valet Mode will lock the front trunk and gloveboxes
