Omdia: 62% of firms deploy edge computing in IoT, 78% move past pilots

Omdia surveyed 570 executives across 10 countries: 62% are already implementing edge computing in IoT deployments and 42% see it as an investment priority. 78% said their edge IoT projects moved beyond pilots, and 87% reported results met or exceeded expectations. Security, not budget, is the top barrier.
