Googlebooks gain Quick Access file transfer and Files AI descriptions

Googlebooks now include Quick Access, which lets users browse and drag-and-drop files between the laptop and a paired Android phone, but only for files under 200MB; Google recommends Quick Share for larger items. The lineup also adds Files AI, which generates short descriptions of files and enables subject-based image search. Cross-device features require a phone running Android 17.
