F-Droid 2.0 brings new UI, description search and auto-updates

The F-Droid client for open source Android apps has been updated to version 2.0 with a redesigned Material You interface, search across descriptions, categories and translations instead of just app names. Installation and updates now use a unified installer and Android's pre-approval APIs, bringing the flow closer to the Play Store.

• Search in F-Droid 2.0 covers descriptions, categories and translations, not just names
• Installation uses a unified installer and Android pre-approval APIs
• Updates are checked and installed automatically in the background
• The UI is rebuilt with Material You and Discover, Categories, My Apps sections
