HyperOS 4: Soft Light Glass, Super XiaoAi 2.0 and Dual-Phone Syncing lead the update

Xiaomi detailed the five biggest upgrades in HyperOS 4, built on Android 17: the Soft Light Glass UI effect, the Super XiaoAi 2.0 assistant powered by the MiMo V2.5 model, 27.2% more available memory and 17% faster app launches, a redesigned lock screen, and Dual-Phone Syncing of calls and SMS over the internet.

• Soft Light Glass with dynamic refraction is limited to Snapdragon 8 Elite, Dimensity 9500 and Xring O1 devices
• Super XiaoAi 2.0 on MiMo V2.5 can plan trips and generate presentations from a single prompt
• Available memory is up 27.2%, app launches 17% faster and camera cold start 200ms quicker
• Dual-Phone Syncing shares calls and OTPs between two phones over the internet, currently China-only
