Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Vale International signed a 25-year agreement for two 210,000-metric-ton ore carriers able to run on ethanol, methanol or heavy fuel oil. Delivery is scheduled for 2030, with the ships carrying Brazilian iron ore; MOL estimates ethanol can cut lifecycle carbon emissions by up to 90%.
