BYD overtakes Tesla in global EV sales, new figures show

CleanTechnica's August data shows BYD sold 375,373 EVs versus Tesla's 141,996, leading with a 20.3% share of global plug-in sales year to date. Geely ranks second at 9.9%, Tesla third at 8.3%. BEV sales grew 13% year on year while PHEVs fell 12%.
