UK startup Reclinker has raised £10m in Series A funding to move from trials to commercial production in Cardiff. Its process recovers old cement paste from demolished buildings and turns it back into clinker inside electric arc furnaces used for steel recycling, halving emissions at the same cost.
- The £10m round was co-led by Clean Growth Fund and AP Ventures
- The process cuts cement emissions by 50% at the same cost
- Thousands of tonnes already produced at 7 Steel UK's Cardiff plant
