Ubuntu 26.10 'Stonking Stingray' enters beta with more Rust and LLM speech-to-text
Canonical has opened beta testing for Ubuntu 26.10 'Stonking Stingray', with the release scheduled for October 15. The distro expands its Rust 'oxidization' effort, moving OpenPGP encryption to the Rust-based Sequoia-PGP, and adds an optional LLM-powered Myna speech-to-text tool. It ships with GNOME 51 and Linux kernel 7.3.
