AWS details AgentCore Runtime Instances for multi-agent workflows

AWS published a walkthrough of AgentCore Runtime Instances, which run multi-agent pipelines on a persistent EC2 instance with GPU colocation, a shared EBS volume and multi-day sessions. The example is a three-agent music production pipeline on one g5.xlarge with a 24 GB A10G GPU.

• Agents share one 24 GB A10G GPU and a common /mnt/workspace EBS volume
• Sessions span multiple days; the instance stays warm and state survives restarts
• Cold start is 0-2 seconds versus 5-30 seconds on Lambda
• You pay for the instance even when agents are idle
