US Navy evaluates MQ-9B SeaGuardian drone at Whidbey Island symposium
The U.S. Navy assessed General Atomics' MQ-9B SeaGuardian maritime drone at a tactical symposium at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington. The aircraft is already operated by the Navy under a company-owned, company-operated contract supporting a capability assessment for the 7th Fleet. SeaGuardian can stay aloft up to 30 hours, carry 4,750 pounds of external payload and fly at speeds near 210 knots.
