Cloudflare opens beta of Monetization Gateway with HTTP 402 payments

On September 30, 2026, Cloudflare launched a closed beta of its Monetization Gateway, letting domain owners charge AI agents per request via HTTP 402, settled in USDC on Base through Coinbase's x402 Facilitator.
