Open USD stablecoin goes live for business payments via Stripe, Visa and Mastercard
Open USD (OUSD), a dollar-pegged stablecoin backed by more than 200 financial and tech firms, went live for business payments on September 30, 2026. Issued by Bridge, Stripe's stablecoin subsidiary, it is available through Stripe, Mastercard and the Visa Stablecoin Platform, with Coinbase access following. Reserves are held at BlackRock, Lead Bank and BNY Mellon.
