California Man Arrested Over Alleged $300M GPU Smuggling to China
US prosecutors charged Greg Lui, 38, owner of California-based Earthmade Computer, with smuggling more than $300 million worth of export-controlled servers with US-made GPUs to China in 2023–2024. The DOJ says shipments were routed through Malaysia and Singapore with false documentation, and Earthmade received over $176 million from two Malaysia-based companies.
