Myrava wins FDA clearance for 3D printed radiation therapy bolus
Myrava, formerly Ricoh 3D for Healthcare, has received FDA 510(k) clearance for a patient-specific 3D printed bolus used in radiation therapy. The device is printed directly from a patient's DICOM treatment plan at FDA-registered point-of-care sites inside partner health systems.
- Bolus is printed directly rather than cast from a mold, removing a workflow step
- Translucent flexible material lets therapists see skin marks during positioning
- Production runs at point-of-care sites including Advocate Health and IU Health
- First Myrava clearance outside diagnostic anatomical models
