SpaceX and xAI Design AI1 Satellite with 110 m² Radiator for 150 kW Heat

SpaceX and xAI are designing the AI1 satellite with a 110 m² radiator to dissipate 150 kW of heat at 1400 W/m² and chip temperature around 95 °C. The spacecraft mass is about 2.1 tonnes, of which 532 kg is the thermal system.

• 110 m² radiator dissipates 150 kW, emitting from both sides
• Thermal system 532 kg, about 25% of satellite mass
• For 250 kW version, radiator will grow to 183 m²
• Solar panels about 5.5 times larger than radiator
