JUICE Completes Earth Gravity Assist on Its Way to Jupiter
ESA's JUICE spacecraft performed an Earth gravity assist on 28 September, changing course by about 20 degrees and gaining roughly 3.5 km/s. Irish researchers at DIAS contribute to the mission via the RPWI and PEP instruments. The probe will reach the Jupiter system in 2031.
- Earth fly-by shifted JUICE's course by about 20 degrees
