Zynga nearly acquired Supercell for $400m in 2012, deal collapsed after OMGPop failure

Zynga founder Mark Pincus said on the Deconstructor of Fun podcast that he and Supercell CEO Ilkka Paananen agreed on a $400 million all-cash acquisition in 2012. Zynga's board blocked the deal after the failed $180 million OMGPop purchase; a year later Supercell posted $500 million in net profit.
