RAF jams hostile satellites with ground-based lasers and electronic warfare

The UK Royal Air Force has spent about a year using ground-based electronic warfare to disrupt hostile satellites, with powerful signals jamming communications and navigation and lasers interfering with sensors. The MoD says losing GPS could cost the UK economy about £1.4 billion a day, or roughly £10 billion a week.
