NHTSA probes Comma's self-driving kit after five crashes

The NHTSA has opened an investigation into five crashes involving Comma 3, 3X, 4 and Openpilot devices, two of which killed three people. The $1,000 aftermarket kit adds driver assistance to over 350 models from 27 automakers and is used by more than 30,000 drivers.
