Tamil Nadu allows Matrimony.com to use Aadhaar authentication

The Tamil Nadu government has notified that Matrimony.com may perform voluntary Aadhaar authentication to verify users and curb matrimony-related fraud. The notification, published in the Gazette on September 16, 2026, lists driving licence, passport and PAN as alternatives.
