Cloudflare migrates its blog from WordPress to in-house CMS EmDash

Cloudflare detailed moving its main blog from WordPress to EmDash, its open-source TypeScript CMS. The new setup handles up to 7,000 requests per second on Workers with Workers KV caching and Hyperdrive, and the traffic cutover was completed in a single day.

• EmDash was tested at up to 7,000 requests per second
• The blog averages 75 RPS with spikes above 5,000 RPS
• Traffic shifted via a proxy Worker from 1% to 100% in a day
• MCP servers for the blog and EmDash were added; v1 is in the works
