Exa launches Agent Ultra: a subagent swarm deep research API

Exa released Agent Ultra, the highest effort level of its Exa Agent API, built for exhaustive list building and entity enrichment. Exa reports Ultra beats Opus 5.5, GPT-6 Astra, and Perplexity Agent at maximum effort on four research benchmarks. Runs typically finish in about 30 minutes and cost up to $20 by default.
