Google Gemini 3.8 adds expressive voice, Live Avatar and notebook context

Google rolled out Gemini 3.8 updates: Flash TTS and Flash-Lite TTS speech models for the Gemini API, Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar for visually grounded conversations, and notebook integration across Gemini and NotebookLM. The components launched in early and mid-September 2026.
