Anthropic investor Lonsdale says AI firms stoke fear to sway policy

Joe Lonsdale, Palantir co-founder and Anthropic investor, said at Reuters Momentum AI in Austin that OpenAI and Anthropic's warnings about existential AI risks are a dangerous bid to shape regulation and entrench an oligopoly. He still praised Anthropic as a leader in the AI race.
