Stanford replaced a student with an AI-generated image in promo photo

Stanford University confirmed that a real Hispanic student, Billy Ramirez, was removed from a dorm promotional photo and replaced with an AI-generated Black woman. The university said the edit violated its AI policy on altering images of people and on mandatory disclosure.
