Andhra Pradesh sets 70% renewable energy rule for data centres

Andhra Pradesh will require at least 70% of the energy used by data centres to come from renewable sources, IT Minister Nara Lokesh said. The state is building a data-centre hub in Visakhapatnam and plans to meet water needs via the Polavaram Left Bank Canal while incentivising desalination plants.
