US DOE unveils $1.9bn for 31 grid upgrade projects to speed data center connections

The US Department of Energy announced a $1.9 billion funding package for 31 grid-improvement projects across 26 states. Total project value reaches $5.25bn with recipient cost-share funding, and the DOE expects to unlock more than 23GW of additional grid capacity for data centers and other large loads.
