Galaxy Z Fold 8 owners increasingly skip the inner display

Two months after the Galaxy Z Fold 8 went on sale (unveiled July 22, 2026, on sale August 7 at $1,899), owners are handling more tasks on the 5.5-inch cover screen instead of the 7.6-inch inner display. The shift is credited to One UI 9's unified FlexWindow gesture system and a new dual-rail hinge rated for 200,000 folds.
