Island raises $400M at $6.4B valuation

Dallas-based browser security startup Island announced a $400 million funding round at a $6.4 billion valuation. The round was led by Evolution Equity Partners; the funds will go toward R&D and expansion into Europe, Asia and the Middle East, with headcount growing from 1,000 to 1,500 by mid-next year.
