Renault revives the 8 Gordini as a 270-hp rear-wheel-drive EV concept

Renault has unveiled an electric concept version of the iconic 1960s Renault 8 Gordini. It keeps the rear-mounted motor and rear-wheel drive but boosts output from 95 hp to 270 hp. The carbon-fiber-bodied show car stands 50 inches tall on 19- and 20-inch wheels. It debuts at the Renault Carwalk and the Paris Motor Show on October 12–18, with no production plans.
