Rockstar: photorealism was never the goal for GTA 6
Rockstar North co-head Rob Nelson said GTA 6's goal is not full realism but "an impression of realism." He said the game "has to look better, obviously," yet the studio deliberately avoids hyperrealism to dodge the uncanny valley and keep gameplay pace.
