Gartner: AI spending to jump 49.5% in 2026 to $2.7 trillion

Gartner forecasts worldwide AI spending will rise 49.5% in 2026 to $2.7 trillion and another 36.2% in 2027. AI infrastructure spend will grow 51.2%, AI software 60.2%, and spending on AI agents and assistants 77.3%. Driven by massive memory over-demand, semiconductor spending is now expected to reach $2 trillion by 2030.
