Quake Champions drops free-to-play, relaunches as a $10 game on Steam

id Software has transitioned Quake Champions from a free-to-play live-service title to a paid $10 game on Steam. All champions and most vanity content are now unlocked for everyone, progression and loot boxes are gone, and no further content updates are planned.

• Game now costs $10 on Steam with all champions unlocked
• Champion progression, loot boxes and store tab removed
• Recently purchased premium currency will be refunded
• Existing players get the new version free in their library
