China launches first three Diting satellites for 60-spacecraft radio tracking network

China has orbited three Diting-01 satellites designed to locate radio signals from space, the first step toward a planned 60-satellite commercial monitoring constellation. The spacecraft launched aboard a Lijian-1 Y18 rocket from Jiuquan; Chang Guang Satellite Technology built them and startup StarRF operates the network.
